Happy Birthday to me...:)

Hallo Bloggerland, hatte am Wochenende Geburtstag und habe ziemlich schöne , schönste Dinge zum Geburtstag bekommen...Auf den Bildern seht ihr eine kleine Impression...Viel romantisches Zeug wie z.B. wunderschöne tschechische Glasknöpfe, eine Glaskuppel samt Ständer, ein Zeitschriften Abo für Landlust und diverse Quilting und Wohnen und Garten Zeitschriften, Tee, Handcreme , Rosenseifen usw....War ein traumhaftes Wochenende und ich bereue es nicht, schon wieder ein Jahr älter zu sein;).....

Gewonnen- I won a scarf :)

Hallo, ich habe das erste Mal an einer Verlosung teilgenommen und auch gleich etwas gewonnen...Einen wunderschönen Schal von Annettes Atelier Blog...Ich liebe die Farben und die Idee diese Materialien so zu kombinieren...Für mich ist es wie ein "verfrühtes" Geburtstagsgeschenk, denn der findet in dieser Woche auch statt ;)..Ach und mein "richtiges" Geburtstagsgeschenk wird ein Nähzimmer, das ich gerade gestalte...Als ich im vorletzten Sommer in den USA war habe ich das Glück gehabt zwei schöne Nähzimmer zu besichtigen...Meins wird nicht ganz so groß und (teuer ):)....aber ich freu mich auf meinen  eigenen kleinen Nähplatz....Das wärs mal wieder..

Hi, this is the first time I took part in a give away and I won this beautifull scarf, it´s from Annettes Atelier Blog...It´s like an early birthday present...Right now I´m working on my own sewing room...Try to get it ready and going, so I finally have a little space for my crafting and quilting projects....  That´s it so far ....

Hallo ein kleiner  Valentins Gruß an die Bloggergemeinde...Ich weiß die "sprappy" Herz- Tischdecke schreit förmlich nach mehr Verzierung :)...Aber manchmal liebe ich auch die schlicht gehaltenen Variationen des Quiltens.Vielleicht verziere ich sie ja später noch etwas mehr;)...Also einen schönen Valentinstag allen Verliebten oder Liebenden da draußen...

Hi , here comes a small greeting to all the lovebirds out there in bloggerland,with a simple scrappy heart tablecloth....Sometimes it´s the simple things in live that sooth our mind and bring peace to our hearts...And next time around it will be a tablecloth with lot´s of embellishments, that make us happy...:), Just like life itself: "Sometimes simple, sometimes with lot´s of "embellishments"...

Die Tasche ist fertig...Lynn Tote is finished

Hallo !

Die Lynn Tasche von Atkinson Design ist also jetzt fertig...Hat Spaß gemacht, war schnell, war meine erste Tasche...Das ging doch etwas schneller als einen ganzen Bettquilt zu machen :), Wie schon in einem anderen Post bemerkt, kann der Sommer für mich nicht schnell genug kommen...Leider kommt die schöne Apfelgrüne Farbe in dem Foto nicht besonders heraus, sieht in "Echtzeit" besser aus!. Ich werde dieses Sommer-Sonne-Meer -Exemplar wahrscheinlich verschenken...Es kommt noch eine Geldbörse hinzu...Das war´s für heute. Schönes restliches Wochenende  LG

I just finished my "Lynn Tote by Atkinsons Design"...I got the kit for the tote at Dakota Cabin Quilts online...This is my first tote and it is definitely quicker to make than an entire Quilt :).The green looks a lot nicer than the one, that you see in the picture..I ´m going to make a wonder wallet with the same fabric , Alix fabric , It´s a  Birthday present for....can not tell, she reads my blog...:) That´s it for today...Have a nice weekend ...

Ich hätte da mal ne Frage....I would like to know...

Liebe Quilter Blogger :), 
Ich hatte schon arge Zweifel ob ich jemals wieder ein kleines Projekt gestartet bekomme:)...aber siehe da, ich habe jetzt endlich mit einer Tasche angefangen. Wenn man sich hier im Blogerland umsieht und die ganzen tollen Dinge sieht, die so "gezaubert" werden, kann man schon manchmal Panik bekommen. Meine Fragen sind dann immer dieselben: "Wie kommen die auf diese tollen Ideen?" "Woher nehmen sie die ganze Zeit?" "Wie schafft sie es, so toll zu nähen?"...Es erinnert mich immer an diese Werbespots, wo die Hausfrau milde lächelnd ein super Menü auf den Tisch zaubert, ein glänzend geputztes Haus hat und dazu noch blendend aussieht...Und auf die Frage, wie sie dass alles schafft nur bemerkt:"Och, das habe ich so nebenbei gemacht"...und dann wieder lächelt...Das ist bei mir dann der Moment wo die Panik -Sirene ertönt und eine Stimme in mir flüstert:"Warum kannst du das nicht auch?" Ich gehöre noch zu der (vom Austerben bedrohten?) Sorte von Menschen die sich immer nur auf ein Projekt konzentrieren können. Bloggen gehört bei mir als Projekt dazu. Da heißt, entweder ich gestalte mein Blog oder ich nähe...Entweder ich nähe oder ich putze das Haus usw. Was ich mich also frage ist,:"Was waren die Schwierigkeiten bei euren Projekten?" Hattet ihr mit Tücken zu kämpfen? Den Stoff verschnitten? Wie kommt es, das kaum jemand darüber schreibt?(Hab ich übrigens bei dieser Tasche fertig gebracht :). Ich habe einen fat quarter zerschnitten ha ha ...)Oder bin ich die Einzige, der solche Mißgeschicke passieren? Auf eure Kommentare bin ich sehr gespannt....
PS. Ich bewundere wirklich eure Kreativität!!!!Vielen Dank für die tollen Ideen!

Hello my fellow blogging quilters,
I had serious doubts that I ever would get another project started... but as you can see, I finally cut the pieces for a bag and now I´m in the process of quilting it...As I take a look around  the blogging quilting community I sometimes get a rush of panic when I see all those beautiful projects that are being done by everyone...My questions after a while are always the same..."How do they get all those great ideas?", "How do they find the time to do so much sewing?" "How come,the work is always so perfect?"....It reminds me to one of those commercials, where the perfectly dressed housewife with the perfect clean house serves the perfect meal to the perfect family...And the perfect housewife asked, how she does all this, answers with a smile" I just do it!."...That´s the moment my panic button gets pushed and I ask myself the question:" How come, I can not be that perfect?" 
I still belong to this kind of people (maybe almost extinct) that can only manage to do one thing at a time...Blogging is one of those projects. This means I either sew or blog, I either sew or clean the house, and so on...You get the picture...
Now here is my question: Does any of you struggle with their projects sometimes? Did you cut the farbic wrong, used the wrong material, or anything like that? Or am I the only one that has to deal with mishaps, when it comes to quilting?.....How come hardly anybody writes about those challenges in their quilting blogs? I´m realy looking forward to your answers....
And by the way, I enjoy all those great ideas I can find on your blogs and I do marvel on the beauty of the items....Thanks for all the Inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
