Meine Projekte my projects...With Love for my sister in Law...

Ich glaube es wird mal Zeit, dass ich einige der Quilts an denen ich gearbeitet habe bzw.an denen ich noch arbeite vorzustellen...Den Fotoquilt habe ich für meine Schwägerin in Oklahoma gemacht und ihr zu Weihnachten geschickt...Dies war mein erstes Quiltprojekt bei dem ich Fotos verwendet habe...der Stoff ist Flanell aus der Urban Blooms Serie von Robert Kaufmann...Meine Schwägerin hat eine sehr schwere Zeit hinter sich, Brustkrebs Survivor, zu diesem Anlass habe ich anstatt der üblichen Pinkfarbenen Schleife einen pinkfarbenen Rahmen für die Bilder verwendet...Sie hat immer noch zu kämpfen ... Dieser Quilt ist für mich ein Symbol der Hoffnung auf baldige Genesung für sie ...Er bedeutet aber auch Unterstützung und Wärme in einer schwierigen Zeit, in der wir leider nicht bei ihr sein können ...Bis bald mal Karin

I guess it´s about time that I write about some of my quilting projects that I worked on lately...I made this picture Quilt for my sister in Law who lives in Oklahoma...This was the first time that I used printed family pictures in a Quilt...I am really glad about the outcome...The fabric is a flannel from the Urban Blooms Series by Robert Kaufmann...My sister in Law had to fight a battle against Breast Cancer for the last two years now ...As a reminder to her courrage I put a pink frame around the pictures instead of using a pink ribbon...She still has a tough time and I just admire her strength that she kept the whole time...This Quilt is a symbol of hope for a fast reccovery and a reminder of the Love from our whole familly for her ...Across the thousands of miles, it will remind her every day, that we think about her ...
